Using NDIR sensing technology, our Carbon Dioxide (CO2) sensor is suitable for monitoring the respiration rate of climacteric fruits during the ripening process.
Carbon Dioxide/Oxygen can be used to monitor the respiration rate of climacteric fruits during the ripening process, which can be used as an indicator on how fast the fruit is ripening (the respiration rate is high) and can to used to tell if ripening has completed (the fruit’s respiration rate reduces dramatically). By setting a room to very low O2 (about 2%) and high CO2 (about 5%) you can stop the ripening process within the fruit for long term storage.
